Notre Dame rolls over Holy Cross 6-3

ST. LOUIS Anders Lee scored three goals to lead Notre Dame to a 6-3 win over Holy Cross on Friday in the first round of the Ice Breaker men's college hockey tournament.

Lee scored twice and Joe Lavin added another goal as the Fighting Irish took a 3-1 lead after one period. Notre Dame (1-0-0) added three more goals in the second period to take control. Holy Cross (0-1-0) goalie Thomas Tysowski made 29 saves, including 15 in the first period.

Nick Larson and TJ Tynan and goals for the Irish. Holy Cross put 35 shots on Notre Dame goalie Mike Johnson, who had 32 saves. Shayne Stockton, Adam Schmidt and Erik Voss scored for the Crusaders.
