Tony Romo Out With Clavicle Fracture - Jon Kitna Steps In

Romo's Clavicle Fracture Leaves Jon Kitna In Charge As if things couldn t get worse for the Dallas Cowboys, who have started the season off with a 1-5 record, Cowboys fans just got news that their star quarterback, Tony Romo, will miss 6-8 weeks, or possibly the entire season, with a clavicle fracture.up quarterback Jon Kitna is ready to take over the team for the next 6-8 weeks, with a daunting task in his hands, turning the team around.

In the second quarter of the New York Giants, Dallas Cowboys game last night, Tony Romo took a hit by Michael Boley, while making a pass to Miles Austin. After the hit Boley said he heard Romo let out a loud scream. After Tony got up, he started experiencing shortness of breath, so he went back into the tunnel for X-Rays. To the angst of Cowboy fans everywhere it showed a fractured clavicle.

So, where does this leave this Cowboys team? Already with a 1-5 record, the team clearly is in trouble. The 38 year oldup, Jon Kitna, who made his NFL debut in 1997 with the Seattle Seahawks will start, at the very least, the next 6 weeks. Jon Kitna has experience, but likely not the skills needed to make this Dallas team a competitor this year. Kitna has played for the Seahawks, the Bengals, the Lions, and now the Cowboys. He has 152 career touchdowns, and 151 career interceptions. His lifetime quarterback rating is 76.6. He was traded to Dallas in February 2009 for Anthony Henry.
