People: Beyoncé and Jay-Z expecting?

Beyonc © Knowles is pregnant with her first child, the new Us Weekly reports. And, apparently, it wasn't as meticulously planned as the rest of her career.

Go ahead and make your Destiny's Child joke and let's move on.

"B was shocked. She loves kids, but she wasn't ready to be a mother just yet," says a source of the singer, who married rapper Jay-Z in 2008.

Still, another insider says that the singer, who is in her first trimester, realizes that

You think she's happy? That kid just won the genetic lottery.

Friends of the couple are already expressing their best wishes for the parents-to-be. So it must be true.

"Jay has been all about family since I met him, and he's always going to be," record executive Kevin Liles, who has known the rapper for years, tells Us. And while not a direct admission of a positive pregnancy test, Knowles' sister Solange told the magazine

FILM LEGEND HAS CANCER: Legendary screen siren Kim Novak, best known for her work in the 1958 Alfred Hitchcock thriller is expected to make a full recovery after being diagnosed with breast cancer, her manager says.

"It was caught early by a routine yearly mammogram, and (she) is undergoing treatment. All her doctors say she is in fantastic physical shape and should recover very well," Sue Cameron told the Hollywood Reporter.

PLAYMATE CHARGED FOR GUNPLAY: The 1968 Playboy Playmate of the Year has been charged with attempted murder after she allegedly shot her boyfriend from close range in their Hollywood apartment Saturday night.

The district attorney's office says 66-year-old Victoria Rathgeb who went by the name Angela Dorian when she was Playmate of the Year pleaded not guilty to attempted murder Tuesday. She remained jailed Wednesday on $1.5 million bail and could face up to life in prison if convicted.

Police contend that she shot her boyfriend during a domestic dispute Saturday.

Los Angeles police spokeswoman Norma Eisenman says the man, whose identity wasn't released, remains in critical condition.

Rathgeb was also a TV and film actress who played a recovering heroin addict in 1968's

THIS WOULDN'T HAVE HAPPENED IF YOU STAYED IN THE BAY: Former Golden State Warrior and current Los Angeles Clippers star Baron Davis is being sued for allegedly firing a at a paparazzo's face outside Kate Hudson's house.

The photog claims he and a pack of shutterbugs were outside of Hudson's L.A. home back in 2008 when the actress arrived with Davis.

According to the suit, the photog claims Davis, striking the pap in the face and eyes. The photog claims he suffered some serious damage to his eyeball and wants Baron to fork over more than $25,000 to make things right.

WAHLBERG OFFERED 'THE CROW': The producers behind Steven Norrington's reboot of the gothic avenger are apparently offering the lead role to Mark Wahlberg.

The haunted hero was originally played in 1994 by Brandon Lee, who died making the first film. Producer Edward R. Pressman has promised which Norrington is planning to direct from the script that Nick Cave has been busy polishing up.

Other planned changes include beefing up the role of the Crow's guide/sidekick bird, which was largely relegated to an atmospheric touch or totem in the original film. Rumors continue to swirl that the part has been offered to Sesame Street's Big Bird.
