Purdue senior F Robbie Hummel (ACL surgery in March) has been cleared to resume all basketball-related activities, the school confirmed to The Lafayette Journal and Courier ¹s BoilerStation.com blog.

"He has been cleared, but we're taking it slowly, and he still isn't going to be playing five-on-five yet," Purdue spokesman Cory Walton told BoilerStation.com, pointing out that the official start of practice isn't until Oct. 15.

Hummel has participated in individual workouts wearing a brace on his right knee but shot the ball extremely well and appeared to be playing pain-free, according to the blog.

Hummel was injured in late February during a victory at Minnesota and underwent surgery in Indianapolis during the week of the Big Ten tournament. He was cleared in early September to resume individual drills.
