NFL MIGHT START SUSPENDING FOR VIOLENT HITS Vice president of football operations Ray Anderson is saying the NFL could soon start suspending players for dangerous helmet-to-helmet hits. A day after several scary collisions in Sunday's games, Anderson acknowledged the league might need to do more than fining players to prevent such hits.

SEAU CAR OFF CLIFF AFTER DOMESTIC VIOLENCE ARREST Former NFL linebacker Junior Seau is hospitalized. He drove his SUV off a cliff in Southern California early this morning. The incident occurred just hours after he was arrested on a charge of felony spousal assault with injury. Carlsbad, California police say Seau's vehicle plunged 30 feet down an embankment. He suffered minor injuries.

EAGLES' DESEAN JACKSON LIKELY OUT; KEVIN KOLB LIKELY AT QB Eagles coach Andy Reid said it will be a for receiver DeSean Jackson to play Sunday against Tennessee after suffering a concussion. Jackson was injured in a nasty head-on collision with Atlanta cornerback Dunta Robinson. Jackson had soreness in his neck and shoulders on Monday. While Reid didn't totally rule out Michael Vick, he said Kolb will get his third straight start. Kolb hit 23 of 29 passes for 326 yards with three touchdowns and an interception vs. Atlanta.
