Boston Marathon: Registration for Highly Anticipated 2011 Event Begins Today

The 115th Boston Marathon, slated to take place on April 18, 2011, began the registration process today with runners highly anticipating the upcoming event.

According to USA Today, entrants must meet age and gender standards and qualifying standards must be met on or after Sept. 20, 2009, at a marathon certified by USA Track & Field.

The field for the 2011 race is capped at 26,800, according to AP reports, and the registration fee is $130.
