Valdosta State University And The Gsc Championship; Larry Dean's New Record

The Valdosta State University Blazers are well on their way to a GSC championship, said Lalate News.

The Gulf South Conference championship could be the Blazers first since 2004. The Blazers will play a critical game against the West Georgia Wolves on Saturday.

A few days ago, Larry Dean set a new record in a game against Arkansas. In a 21-7 win, Dean destroyed Atlanta Falcon Jesse Tuggle's 340 career tackles with a cool 340 tackles, eight of which took place during the game.

When asked about his new record, Dean remained focused on the task ahead: I haven t really even thought about the record, he told the Tifton Gazette. My main focus is on how our team does, not individual accolades. My main goal right now is to go out and play well against West Georgia this Saturday.

Dean was the only sophomore in Valdosta State University history to become captain of the team. He has led the Blazers since 2008.
