Skyline Film Review: Monster Mash-up

Earth comes under attack once again in an alien invasion effort best described as Co-dependence Day. With the makers so clearly entranced by Cloverfield, War Of The Worlds and every other recent sci-fi disaster movie, the result is a cut-and-paste monster mash with no business whatever in a multiplex.

Heck, if you tuned into this on cable on a Sunday night, you'd be cancelling your subscription.

The plot: LA nubiles find themselves in the middle of an alien invasion. uned into this on cable ht, you'd be subscription. ubiles find he middle sion.

The result: LA nubiles flap about shouting ut before being vaporised in scenes reminiscent of War Of The Worlds, Independence Day and Cloverfield.

Made outside the studio system for a mere $20m, at least this isn't a big-budget disaster, but boy is it a mess with flat characters, out-offocus shots and a sense of d ©j vu hanging like an alien swarm over every scene.

It doesn't approach You Again in terms of awfulness, but it's within a plasma beam's distance.
